IGEA needs your voice – please complete our 2026 Australian Game Development Survey
The Australian game development industry has made significant progress in recent years, with new funding initiatives and support measures introduced at both Federal and State levels. To ensure these investments continue and evolve in ways that genuinely benefit studios and developers, we need accurate, up-to-date data from across our industry.
That is why we are asking Australian game developers to complete the 2026 Australian Game Development Survey. The survey focuses on a small number of critical measures, including:
- Industry revenue
- Export results
- Employment and workforce growth
- Geographic distribution of development activity across Australia
These are the statistics that governments, policymakers, investors and other stakeholders look to when assessing the health, impact and future needs of our sector. The stronger and more representative our data, the stronger our case when advocating for funding, policy support, skills development initiatives and industry growth opportunities.
Simply put – if we cannot measure our industry’s impact, it becomes much harder to demonstrate its value.
We know your time is valuable. This year’s survey has been substantially streamlined and focuses only on the key data points required for effective advocacy. Importantly, all responses are strictly confidential.
For those that didn’t receive an email directly from Bond University, please access the survey via this link.
IGEA appreciates your co-operation in helping us advocate for our industry!
