Policies

“We support policies that foster the enjoyment of video games within the community, strengthen the growing video games market, and nurture the local game development industry.”

One of IGEA’s key roles is to foster understanding across federal, state and even local governments about video games, the people who play games, and the creators and companies that make and bring games to our consumers. Importantly, we advocate for government policies that can help our industry to grow and succeed, contributing to the economy and benefit to the wider community.

 IGEA publishes a Policy Advocacy Compendium to compile our policy positions on 20 key issues across three overarching themes:

1) implementing well-informed and designed regulation;

2) driving industry development through ongoing investment and trade; and

3) boosting talent pipeline for a sustainable industry.
