The IGEA Educates Summit is back for 2025 — and this year, we’re helping you plot your course into the Australian games industry.

Join us online on 8 July for a full day of talks, resources, and networking opportunities designed to guide you from student to professional.

This year’s theme is Skills Compass:

We’ll walk you through the essential skills that studios are seeking across the major disciplines, based on the newly updated — and still evolving — IGEA Skills Compass (formerly the Skills Matrix). Think of it as your personal map to industry success.

You’ll also get practical advice on how to navigate life after graduation: setting up your own studio, structuring a business, and marketing your games, with insights from the IGEA network.

Hosted on Discord, the Summit also offers a chance to connect directly with industry professionals and your fellow future game makers. Talks will feature talented developers from Gameloft, Riot Games, Blowfish Studios, Big Ant Studios, and more to come!
