IGEA Education Summit presented by Bethesda

IGEA is proud to present its first Education Summit during Melbourne International Games Week.

Made possible thanks to the generous support of our sponsor Bethesda, the summit aims to bridge the gap between games educators and the games industry. Exploring avenues for collaboration, challenges, and solutions to deep-seated problems, world-class speakers and leaders from prominent studios will engage in debates and presentations.

The focus will be on inspiring examples of industry and education collaboration and actionable steps to ensure that graduates are ready for an exciting, ever-growing industry. Join us for the opening keynote on Ubisoft’s Game Creators Odyssey program, a gamified course teaching game design in collaboration with universities and listen to Ian Livingstone of Tomb Raider fame, outlining his vision for games education in the future in the closing presentation. In between, you will get to watch exciting panels and learn what studios really need from educators.

All this will make MIGW once more a key (virtual) destination for educators and members of the games industry.

The summit will take place the day after GCAP, the 8th of October.

The summit is free and you can register for it here: IGEA Education Summit
