Do you love to play video games or know anyone that is passionate about their favourite video games? It doesn’t need to be hard core gaming either – it can be FIFA or Fortnite, or even old school Mario Kart!
We want your help to challenge the old stereotypes and myths about who plays video games!
With female players representing nearly half of all gamers, and the average age of a gamer being 34 years old, we want to create imagery that is reflective of the diversity that exists in the gaming community.
We are passionate about making sure this is represented in the images we use – we want to show what we know!
The Interactive Games & Entertainment Association (IGEA) is looking to gather a cross section of people of any age, gender, and background, to join us for a photo shoot in Sydney to celebrate the true diversity of those that play video games.
The images from the photo shoot will be used across social and media platforms – in association with the media release of the Digital Australia Report (DA20), a bi-annual report that provides a snapshot of how, why and who plays video games in Australia. DA20 explores the Power of Games to entertain, transform, create, connect, communicate, live well and educate.
