IGEA has welcomed the opportunity to respond to the Productivity Commission’s Issues Paper on Intellectual Property Arrangements
In our submission we have provided an overview of our industry in Australia, together with a general submission on the importance of intellectual property to the interactive games industry. The submission is particularly focused on copyright given its importance in the interactive games industry and provides a more detailed response on Technological Protection Mechanisms (TPMs) and “fair use” and “fair dealing” provisions as specific questions raised by the Issues Paper.
Our full submission can be found here.
